Experience
During the first semester, I struggled a lot with the module and the amount of tasks that we had to complete. So going into the module this semester, I had already expected that it would not be easy journey. It was very different because we had to go through the entire semester online. I initially thought that it would be extremely hard to keep up, but eventually got the hang of online classes. Unlike last semester, because of our online classes, we can hear our classmate's feedbacks as well. At first, it was quite intimidating to present our work every week for the entire class to see, however I also gained something positive from it. I was able to learn through my classmate's mistakes and often am inspired by a lot of their work as well. I am thankful that I learned a lot of new things this module, not just in typography but also in the way I think creatively and critically.
Observation
Throughout the module, I definitely struggled with a few of the tasks. Some tasks were easier than the other. I realized that most of my classmates feel the same way as well. Due to the classes being online, poor connection is also a factor that a lot of people struggled with. Having the opportunity to see everyone's work this semester has definitely made learn a lot of things and I was very fascinated by how each individual had a different creative take on each task.
Findings
Throughout the semester, I definitely learned from my mistakes last semester and would always strive to start working on my tasks as quickly as possible. As everything is done online, I felt like we could not receive as much feedback as we normally would in a classroom as we can just immediately show our works to our lecturers. So whenever we receive feedback, we really have to be smart and quickly grasp what needs to be changed and how to improve our work. It was definitely challenging, but this experience has made me grow as a design student.
